Yamaguchi is the area of chemistry. So far, Yamaguchi was one of the center of chemical industries in Japan, and this is still continuing. Chemistry occupies an important position in opening new innovation in 21st century. A new perspective based on new materials and new technologies are very expected. Our research group is based on organic  synthesis and aims to produce hitherto compounds that helps us and/or to develop a new concept to solve energy, green, and sustainable issues in the world. Our group produce materials through synthesis based on organo radical chemistry and this is the point that we believe the chemistry is the one that can give solutions for the issues.

We, synthetic organic chemists, will produce new materials, propose green and sustainable methodologies based on organic synthesis. Through our innovative results, we contribute to solve social needs as well as to enhance academic status of Yamaguchi University. With talented members we will become a center of research groups in our university. Also our rich international relationship will be a dynamo of the internationalization of YU.
